Britain's Queen Elizabeth has 'beautiful skin'.

The 86-year-old monarch - who recently spent two days in hospital - impressed Oscar-winning actress Kate Winslet when she awarded her a CBE last year, especially with her appearance.

The 'Titanic' star said: 'Oh my God, she [the queen] looks amazing. Beautiful skin - and wonderful thick hair. She looked really well and pretty and fresh, and she was wearing a lovely pale-yellow dress.'

Kate has previously spoken about her meeting with the queen at Buckingham Palace and said she and the monarch had bonded over being mothers.

Kate - who has two children, Mia, 12, and nine-year-old Joe - said: 'She asked me if I enjoyed acting and I said yes I liked it but not as much as being a mother. She said, 'It is the best job.' '

The queen has four children, Princes Charles, Andrew and Edward and Princess Anne, eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and one more one the way, the offspring of grandson Prince William and Duchess Catherine, which is due in July.
