Duchess of Cambridge hoax call DJ returns to work
Feb 11, 2013, 17:03 GMT

The Duchess of Cambridge
One of the DJs at the centre of the Duchess of Cambridge hoax call scandal has returned to work.
Michael Christian and Mel Greig rang King Edward VII's Hospital in London posing as Britain's Queen Elizabeth and the Prince of Wales as the duchess was being treated for acute morning sickness.
Their call was put through to the royal's bedside and they were able to obtain sensitive information about condition.
Days after the call was broadcast Nurse Jacintha Saldanha, who had transferred the call, took her own life.
The DJs' show on Sydney's 2Day FM was axed and they were both suspended, but Michael returned to the airwaves this morning (11.02.13) on Melbourne-based Fox FM.
Rhys Holleran, CEO of Austereo, which owns both radio stations, said: 'We are happy to have Michael back on air.
'We have always supported our talent returning to work when appropriate and today marks that occasion for Michael.
'We look forward to welcoming Mel Greig back when the time is right.'
Neither Michael or Mel will face criminal charges in relation to the prank call incident.
