Prince Harry had to be the 'brew bitch' for his helicopter squad in Afghanistan.

The British royal had to wait on the three other members of his team after losing at board game Uckers, in line with the rules of the game.

He admitted: 'Whoever loses becomes the Brew Bitch, and then you have to make brews for everybody else.'

Captain Simon Beattie, Harry's flight commander, added to the Daily Mail newspaper: 'It's always the thing we do first in the morning, with my flight.

'And the loser ends up being on call. We ring the bell and they make the brews, and for anyone that comes by.'

When asked if he found it satisfying to make the third in line to the throne wait on him, he added: 'Absolutely. Especially when you've cheated the whole way round!'

Harry, 28 - who has now returned from his tour of duty - had endured a bad run when he was visited by reporters in December.

He added: 'I lost two days ago, and yesterday, so since you guys have been here I've only lost.

'I won last night, which was good. Very quickly.'

The prince also admitted some people still stare at him when he enters the canteen.

He said: 'I go into the cookhouse and everyone has a good old gawp. Because there's plenty of guys in there that have never met me, therefore look at me as Prince Harry and not as Captain Wales, which is frustrating.'
