Zara Phillips insists Britain's Royal Family are just like any other family.

The 31-year-old blonde - Queen Elizabeth's eldest granddaughter - says she and her cousins, including Princes William and Harry, do very normal things when they all get together despite their high profile.

She said: 'I just saw them on the weekend; we're very close. Obviously they're a very high-profile family but at the end of the day, we're just like any family. We spend Christmas together and try to see each other as much as we can. It's not like we only catch up for the royal dinner.'

As well as being close to her family, Zara - who is married to rugby ace Mike Tindall - is also very dedicated to her horses and says they've always played a huge part in her life.

Zara - who won a silver medal for Team GB at London 2012 in the three-day eventing competition - told Australia's Vogue magazine: 'Horses were always a big part of my life. They were a part of the family. I was very lucky in that both my parents rode. They were obviously a massive influence on me.'
