'Saucy' Prince Charles

Catherine Zeta-Jones has branded Prince Charles 'saucy'.

The Oscar-winning actress met the future British king when he awarded her a CBE in 2011 for services to the film industry and she joked he got a little carried away when pining the badge on her chest.

Looking at a photo from the day, Catherine told talkshow host David Letterman: 'Look at his hands. Check out his hands, I dunno. I love the royal family but he is being a little saucy.'

The Welsh beauty - who now lives in New York with husband Michael Douglas and their two children, Dylan, 12, and Carys, nine - loves having a CBE as it means she has power over people.

She quipped: 'I am a Commander of the British Empire,' she said, 'and basically that entitles me to David Letterman getting on his knees every time I stand.'

It seems Charles is managing to shed his once-stuffy image and was recently branded a 'great laugh' by TV chef Jamie Oliver.

Jamie said: 'He's a great laugh. He's really into his food and farming. For the last 40 years he's been quite pioneering.

'Maybe people around him thought he was a bit of a hippy. Everything he has done has come of age.'
