Duchess Catherine planning meal for Charles

Britain's Duchess Catherine is helping prepare a Valentine's Day (14.02.13) meal for her father-in-law.

The brunette beauty - who is currently expecting her first child with husband Prince William - is working with TV chef Lorriane Pascale on the menu for the Prince's Trust Ball, which Prince Charles will be attending.

Lorraine said: 'Prince Charles is coming and I've been designing petit fours and the main dish.

'I will be doing a tasting with Kate, which is very exciting. I'm sure with her help we'll be developing some beautiful dishes.'

Catherine - who was known as Kate Middleton before marrying Prince William in April 2011 - turns 31 today (09.01.13) but she will celebrate her birthday 'privately', a St. James' Palace spokesperson confirmed.

The duchess is expected to spend the day with her husband at their home in Anglesey, North Wales.

Catherine - who is around 12 weeks pregnant - is now fully recovered from her acute morning sickness which saw her hospitalised for three days at the end of last year.
