Prince William leaves hospital last night

Britain's Prince William has returned to visit pregnant wife Duchess Catherine in hospital.

The 30-year-old duchess - who announced yesterday (03.12.12) she was expecting her first child with her husband - is currently suffering from severe morning sickness and is being treated at the King Edward VII Hospital in central London, where her spouse of 18 months was spotted visiting her again.

Catherine - who is also known as her maiden name of Kate Middleton - has been on a drip to restore lost nutrients and is expected to spend the next few days in hospital.

She has also been visited by her parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, while sister Pippa is also set to go and see her.

A Clarence House spokesman said today (04.12.12): 'The situation is the same as yesterday - we said she would stay in for several days and that is still the case. It's a period of rest that she needs, so she will stay in for several days.'

William and Catherine did not want to make the pregnancy announcement until Christmas but were forced to make a statement because of the duchess' hospital admission.
