Prince Edward
Britain's Prince Edward and his wife the Countess of Wessex are to visit Malta next week.
The royal couple will undertake a number of official engagements on the Mediterranean island before he opens the 11th International Award Forum in his capacity as Chairman of the Duke of Edinburgh Award's International Council.
The trip will begin on November 19 with a reception on board HMS Illustrious, which is berthed in the Grand Harbour in Valetta.
They will then go to a dinner at the Residence of the High Commissioner Rob Luke, before enjoying a visit to numerous locations including the Helen Keller Resource Centre for Children with Special Needs in Qrendi, the Royal Fleet Auxilary ship Mounts Bay and the Playmobil factory in Hal Far.
It is the second time in two years Prince Edward - who is British monarch Queen Elizabeth's youngest son - has visited Malta, as he was last on the island in 2011.
