Duchess Catherine
The Duchess of Cambridge is the royal most British people would want to spend Christmas Day with.
Duchess Catherine - also known as her maiden name Kate Middleton - came fourth in a poll, in which Britons were asked who they would like to share the festive period with, beating her brother-in-law Prince Harry and grandmother-in-law Queen Elizabeth.
However, in the poll carried out by Haagen-Dazs, the duchess failed to beat TV chefs Nigella Lawson and Jamie Oliver, who came first and second respectively while TV host Holly Willoughby was third.
Harry came in sixth while the queen scraped into 10th place, just behind soccer star David Beckham.
The poll revealed Britons were not inspired by the queen's annual speech and would rather hear one form Catherine and her husband Prince William.
The study also found two thirds of Brits avoid the traditional Christmas pudding because they simply don't like the flavour.
Ed Culf, Marketing Director at Haagen-Dazs, added: 'The traditional Christmas Pudding is outdated and it's time Britain took a fresh look at their options. It is surprising to see that a large proportion of the public have been purchasing one not out of taste or preference, but out of habit or sense of duty to their guests. The exclusive Haagen-Dazs Ice Moon cake brings a sense of style and indulgence back to the dinner table.'
The poll was carried to launch the Haagen-Dazs Ice Moon cake, the modern take on the traditional Christmas pudding. The cake which feeds six-eight people is available to purchase via www.facebook.com/haagendazs.
