Prince Charles' fashion cycle

Prince Charles
Britain's Prince Charles thinks he comes back into fashion 'every 25 years'.
The 63-year-old royal - whose daughter-in-law Duchess Catherine regularly tops style polls - has only ever worn what he believes suits him, and was confused recently when someone said he was 'beyond fashion'.
He said: 'Every 25 years I seem to come back in fashion.
'I simply had to go my own way and stick to what I felt suited me. As that happens to involve what many once considered to be old-fashioned double breasted suits, I can only expect to be considered unfashionable; although one commentator recently called me 'beyond fashion', which added to my confusion. I am still not sure if she meant it as a compliment.'
The first-in-line to the British throne also admits he relies heavily on tailoring to give him the exact look he requires.
In an article to be published in Australian GQ tomorrow (14.11.12), he writes: 'Clothes have to combine style with sustainability and I find good tailoring more than meets that challenge, much to the amusement of my staff who are sometimes surprised to find that what I'm wearing turns out to be as old as or even older than they are.'
