Monaco's Andrea Casiraghi is to be a father for the first time.
The 28-year-old royal's fiancee Tatiana Santo Domingo - who he has been with for seven years - has confirmed she is expecting her first child with the son of Princess Caroline and her second husband, the late Stefano Casiraghi.
Tatiana told Spanish newspaper La Voz Libre: 'I am expecting a child. Yes, I am pregnant.'
The news means Andrea's sister Charlotte Casiraghi will be an auntie for the first time, and the 26-year-old royal is likely to be delighted with the news of Tatiana's pregnancy as she introduced her brother to the Colombian-born heiress.
The couple - who live together in Paris - met when they were both studying in the French capital when Tatiana was Charlotte's classmate.
Andrea and Tatiana got engaged earlier this year and they have set a 2013 date for their wedding, according to Palace officials.
Andrea is the second in line to the throne after his mother while Tatiana hails from one of Colombia's richest families.
