Prince Charles on a Harley Davidson at St James\'s Palace
Britain's Prince Charles tried out a Harley Davidson yesterday (01.11.12).
The Prince of Wales sat on the classic bike and met leather-clad bikers from the Royal British Legion Riders Club at St James's Palace as part of London Poppy Day, and he was spotted joking with one long-haired rider about a teddy bear in his pocket.
But he failed to see the rude patch sewn into the man's jacket, which read: 'F**k off I don't like you.'
Charles also tried another mode of transport for size when he boarded a London Poppy Day red bus at Clarence House and shared a joke with the Routemaster about having a sing-along on the vehicle.
TV presenter Ben Shephard said: 'We thought we could try and drive off with him on the bus and launch a ransom to raise more money.
'But he thought we wouldn't get very far.'
The prince greeted people aiming to raise £1 million in one day from donations across London and met volunteers tasked with counting all the money
Richard Atkinson, a banker and volunteer counter at Clarence House, is quoted by MailOnline as saying: 'He was very intrigued and tried to understand the logistics of how this final part of the process works.
'He was also very interested to know what we all did as day jobs as well.'
