Duchess Catherine tops desirable hair poll

Britain's Duchess Catherine has the most desirable hair in the UK.

The 30-year-old royal - who used to be known as Kate Middleton prior to her and Prince William's nuptials last year - beat off competition from Cheryl Cole and Kelly Brook to be voted the woman with the best hair in Britain by shoppers on Fabriah.com.

Spokesperson Francesca Davies said: 'Whether it's Kate's cascading locks or Cheryl Cole's big bouffant, we all want to have that celebrity look.

'It was interesting to see Jerry Hall come so highly on the list - it seems that even after 30 years women still want her iconic look.'

Catherine - who is known for her brown, bouncy tresses - took 18 per cent of the poll of 700 shoppers.

Texan model Jerry Hall came in second in the questionnaire, while both Victoria Beckham and Adele were tied at number five.

US First Lady Michelle Obama also made the list at number nine.

The duchess has long been praised for her style choices, with many dresses she wears selling out quickly, and she regularly tops fashion polls throughout the world.

A Reiss spokesman recently said: 'There is no question that Kate choosing to wear our brand has had an impact.

'We have noticed a significant increase in terms of brand interest and awareness globally.'
