Princess Madeleine and Chris O\'Neill\'s official engagement photograph
Sweden's Princess Madeleine and fiance Chris O'Neill have released their official engagement photographs.
The couple - who announced last week they are to get married - are pictured with happy smiles in one image which closely resembles an engagement photo taken of Britain's Duke and Duchess of Cambridge ahead of their wedding in April last year.
Madeleine wears a simple white blouse in a similar style to Catherine - who was known as Kate Middleton prior to her and Prince William's nuptials - in the photo, and her hand and engagement ring are displayed on the shoulder of 37-year-old Chris.
She also wears her hair in long, loose waves similar to the duchess' tresses in the official pictures.
The duke and duchess' official engagement images were captured by Mario Testino - a favourite photographer of William's mother Princess Diana - while Patrick Demarchelier was tasked with capturing the Swedish couple.
Madeleine and Chris - who has dual British-American citizenship - announced their engagement in a video, which was recorded at Drottningholm Palace outside Stockholm, posted on the royal website last Thursday (25.10.12).
In the clip, she said: 'Chris proposed to me in New York at the start of October, and we are very happy. He has a very big heart and he manages to make everyone in his presence feel good. Chris is a very thoughtful and generous person.'
He added: 'Madeleine and I have known each other for two years and I recently summoned up the courage to ask her to marry me. Thankfully she said yes.'
