Prince Albert and Princess Charlene
Monaco's Prince Albert and his wife Princess Charlene kicked off Oktoberfest in Monaco this weekend.
The royal couple were the centre of attention in full Bavarian fancy dress at the beer festival as they performed a toast to health, wealth and their one-year of marriage.
The couple opened the Monaco branch of the traditional German festival - which now has international success - in their colourful get-up as they drank steins of beer from the world's oldest brewery, Weihenstephan Abbey.
The annual event is the seventh to be held at the Cafe de Paris and continues until October 23.
Monaco's princely pair were relaxing after a busy week in Italy.
Prince Albert and Charlene attended a black-tie charity gala, Ballo de Giglio, in Florence last week to raise money for his foundation.
They also enjoyed a whirlwind tour of the city's sights and were greeted by a huge crowd outside the historic Palazzo Vecchio.
Former Olympic swimmer Charlene recently hosted a glamorous gala of her own, holding a tribute to her native South Africa at the Monte Carlo Opera House.
