Prince Christian celebrates seventh birthday with photoshoot

Denmark's Prince Christian has celebrated his seventh birthday.

The blonde royal - the son of Crown Prince Frederik and his wife Mary - have released a series of official images to mark the birthday of their eldest child yesterday (15.10.12).

In the images the blue-eyed prince is seen playing in the grass and posing alongside a sign for Christianvej.

Earlier this year, Christian caused hilarity when he was seen posing as Usain Bolt at the London Olympic Games. He is seen making Danish handball hero Mikkel Hansen laugh.

It is the second time this year royals in the Scandinavian country have posed for an official photoshoot, with his younger sister Isabella seen wearing a green coat and posing in the Danish countryside. It is thought the photoshoots are an attempt to make the country's royals appear more open.

Christian and Isabella's grandmother Queen Margrethe this year celebrated 40 years as the ruling monarch of Denmark, where she took part in a carriage procession and various TV interviews.
