Duchess Catherine dressed up as Cheryl Cole for her hen night.

The 30-year-old royal sang the brunette singer's 2009 hit 'Fight For This Love' and put on a body suit and split trousers, similar to those the 29-year-old star wore in the song's video, in a pre-celebration ahead of her marriage to Prince William in April 2011.

Cheryl found out the 'surreal' revelation when she partied with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge - who was known as Kate Middleton prior to the couple's nuptials - after performing at Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee concert in June

In an extract from her autobiography, 'Cheryl: My Story', she writes: 'The party in Buckingham Palace afterwards was incredible. Just when I was thinking the day couldn't get any more incredible, Prince William and Kate came over for a chat.

''Did you know you've got a bit of competition', Wills said with a cheeky look in his eye. 'From who?'

'Wills looked at Kate and they both started laughing before Kate confessed that she dressed up as me on her hen night, in a body suit and split trousers and sang 'Fight For This Love'.'

Not only did Cheryl learn about Catherine performing her song's dance routine, but the duchess' sister Pippa Middleton and brother James Middleton informed her that the brunette royal learnt each step 'perfectly'.

Cheryl wrote: 'She even learned the dance routine and was step perfect by all accounts, as her sister Pippa and brother James also came over and told me all about it.

''Well, I'm very flattered!' I said. I could just imagine her and it was so surreal.'
