Britain's Prince William and Duchess Catherine reunited in London's Mayfair last night (10.10.12).

The royal couple spent the day apart as the Duke of Cambridge attended the funeral of his and brother Prince Harry's former nanny Olga Powell in Essex yesterday, while he left his wife to represent the pair on a royal engagement in North East England on her own - but they enjoyed a relaxing evening in the capital city after their respective appointments.

William and Catherine - who was known as Kate Middleton before the couple's nuptials - let their hair down by partying at the exclusive London private members club Loulou's in Mayfair until around midnight.

An insider told MailOnline: 'Nobody knew they were coming and then at 10pm they were swept in through a back door. They stayed for about couple of hours.'

The couple - who are rarely seen out together unless on an official royal engagement - were joined by Catherine's sister Pippa Middleton, who was seen leaving the nightspot in a taxi at around 2.30am, and William's cousin Princess Eugenie, who left Loulou's with her boyfriend Jack Brooksbank.

Others at the party included writer Jemima Khan and her brother, MP Zach Goldsmith.
