Duchess Catherine's look inspires 'glamorous' dressing

Duchess Catherine
Duchess Catherine's perfect look has inspired a 'new interest in glamorous dressing' in Britain.
Fashion designer Jenny Packham, who has created a number of garments for the Duchess of Cambridge, believes people are getting better at 'building up a wardrobe' after getting ideas from the 30-year-old brunette's flawless look.
She said: 'I think there is a new interest in glamorous dressing in this country -- we just need more black-tie occasions. A lot of my designs are inspired by the 1930s, when people were fabulous at dressing up. Then it just all kind of fell away.
'But people are definitely getting better at finding not just the dress but the accessories, finding out what works together, building up a wardrobe. These things take time, and there's an art to it, and you have to plan ahead.'
But Jenny is planning to add more weighting to Catherine's garments in future after the duchess nearly suffered a wardrobe malfunction while touring the US when the wind blew up one of her dresses to reveal more flesh than she would've liked.
Jenny added to the London Evening Standard newspaper: 'Well, I didn't know it was going to be worn on a windy runway. But I did think maybe in future I will put in more weighting, just in case.'
Catherine - who was known as Kate Middleton prior to her and Prince William's wedding last year - was 'deeply saddened' earlier this month when paparazzi pictures of her sunbathing topless were published in a French magazine. The publication was later banned from printing any more after the royal family took legal action.
