Sep 24, 2012, 12:01 GMT

Princess Anne
Britain's Princess Anne will arrive in Zambia today (24.09.12) as part of Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
The Princess Royal will meet acting President Alexander Chikwanda, visit the National Assembly and address members of the house and other government officials during her official four-day trip.
She will also visit various charities institutions in Lusaka and Livingstone as well as lay wreaths at the War Memorial at Victoria Falls in Livingstone to commemorate volunteers whose lives were lost in the two world wars.
British High Commissioner to Zambia James Thornton said: 'I am delighted that Princess Anne will be coming to Zambia. The visit highlights the deep roots Zambia and the United Kingdom share as well as the lively modern relationship between our countries.
'Together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we have organised an exciting programme that will show Her Royal Highness the real essence of Zambia.'
Anne will also visit The Butterfly Tree projects at Mukuni Village, close to Livingstone and Victoria Falls.
Jane Kaye-Bailey, founder and chairman of the charity, added: 'We are truly honoured to have been selected by the British High Commission in Zambia to receive the royal visit. For the past six years we have promoted travel philanthropy to raise funds and awareness for these vulnerable people, receiving visitors from all over the world, but none so distinguished as the Princess Royal.'
