Britain's Duchess of Cornwall is attending the Classic BRIT Awards next month.

Camilla will be joining the likes of Gary Barlow, host Myleene Klass and Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber at this year's event to celebrate the achievements made in the last 18 months in classical music.

Camilla will see nine award presentations and enjoy eight unique performances, created especially for the night, at this year's Classic BRIT Awards, which was established in 2000.

The duchess will even have her own entrance music played by British trumpeter Alison Balsom, who will be making her fourth Classic BRIT Awards performance.

The London Chamber Orchestra, whose patron is the duchess, will be performing the accompanying music for the night.

Myleene couldn't contain her excitement about the event, saying: 'I am thrilled to have been asked to present the Classic BRIT Awards for the fifth year.

'It is the highlight of my music calendar and the excitement that surrounds each award presentation and every unique performance is palpable.

'From Alison Balsom's trumpet fanfare to Gary Barlow reuniting with the Military Wives for a performance of 'Sing', this will be a night to remember.'

The Classic BRIT Awards takes place on October 2 at the Royal Albert Hall in London and will be broadcast on ITV1 on October 7.
