Sarah Ferguson
Britain's Sarah Ferguson paid tribute to victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks yesterday (11.09.12).
The Duchess of York and her daughter Princess Beatrice attended an event at the London base of BGC International Stockbroking Global Stockbrokers to honour the lives of the company's 658 New York staff who died when aeroplanes struck the World Trade Centre in the US city in 2001.
Sarah took to her twitter account to thank BGC and charity Children in Crisis - which she founded and is life president of - for the 'wonderful event', where she was representing the aid organisation.
She tweeted: 'BGC @bgccharityday thank you so much for today's wonderful event. Looking forward to supporting @ChildrenCrisis (sic)'
In another message to Children in Crisis - which aims to protect and educate kids facing some of the toughest hardships in countries badly affected by political instability or conflict - BGC and Beatrice, who appears to have a twitter account but hasn't ever tweeted on it, she praised the trio for 'bringing love and education' to youngsters.
She wrote '@yorkiebea@bgccharityday@ChildrenCrisis thank you all for bringing love and education to children, so they can dare to dream (sic)'
Other attendees at the event included British Olympic double gold medal-winner Mo Farah and Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton.
On Monday (10.09.12), Sarah and her other daughter Princess Eugenie attended an event at London's Savoy Hotel for charity Freddie for a Day - an AIDs charity set up in the name of Queen rocker Freddie Mercury in 1992 following his death in 1991.
