Mike Tindall's Olympic ambition

Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall
Mike Tindall wants to compete in the 2016 Olympics.
The 33-year-old rugby player was in attendance at the London 2012 Games to see his wife Zara Phillips - the daughter of Britain's Princess Anne - take silver in the eventing, and thinks it would be a dream come true for them both to compete in their respective sports at the next Games in Rio, Brazil.
Mike said: 'I'd be more than happy to be cheering on Zara from the sidelines of the next five Olympics. But I'd love to go to Rio as I've never been, and I note rugby sevens will be included.'
He jokingly added: 'I know Rio is in her plans. Maybe Zara can compete in the eventing and I in the rugby. Mind you, I'll be 37. I wonder if England would take me as a fat prop forward?'
Although England player Mike is proud of his own sporting achievements, he think Zara has outdone him with her Olympic medal.
He told Britain's HELLO! magazine: 'That Olympic silver, in my book, is right up there with my World Cup medal, if not above it, because it was won at the London Games with so much expectation and pressure.
'When England won the World Cup we were favourites to do so. Team GB's eventing silver wasn't expected, so to produce that collective performance was outstanding.'
