Duchess Catherine's home cooking love
Aug 23, 2012, 12:01 GMT

Prince William and Duchess Catherine
Britain's Duchess Catherine regularly makes Prince William home cooked food.
The brunette royal creates delicacies for the 30-year-old prince based on recipes her mother Carole Middleton taught her during her younger years, and William is thought to enjoy the 'sense of ordinariness' that the duchess' cooking brings to their lives.
Royal author Katie Nicholl told PEOPLE that Catherine - who was known as Kate Middleton prior to her nuptials - creates meals from 'recipes learned from her mother.
'She brings a sense of ordinariness that William has always craved.'
The Duchess of Cambridge is also thought to enjoy styling her own hair, makeup and clothes and fulfilling her role as the search-and-rescue pilot's wife at their farmhouse in Anglesey, north Wales, where William is stationed.
William and Catherine made a series of trips down to London earlier this month to take in a number of events at the London 2012 Olympics.
The couple saw William's cousin Zara Phillips help Team GB to win a silver medal in the eventing competition, and the pair were joined by Prince Harry as they saw Usain Bolt win a gold medal in the 100m men's finals at the Games.
