Princess Anne buys 500k yacht

Princess Anne
Britain's Princess Anne has invested in a £500,000 yacht.
The royal and her husband Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence have splashed out on the bespoke Rustler 44 boat after she managed to finally sell her previous vessel Blue Doublet, which was named after the horse that led her to victory in the 1971 European Eventing Championship.
The princess has not yet revealed the name of her latest purchase but insiders believe that she will give it a Scottish title rather than name it after her daughter Zara's horse High Kingdom, who helped her win a silver medal at the London Olympics earlier this month.
An associate of Anne is quoted by the Sunday Telegraph newspaper as saying: 'It will be called something very Scottish. Anne loves Scotland and wanted a name that celebrated a part of the world that she adores.'
The couple had struggled to sell Blue Doublet - which was on the market for eight months - before eventually offloading the vessel for £95,000.
The boat had struggled to attract a single bid during the first six months and at the time, Simon Jones, a director of Rustler Yachts, said: 'It is in spectacular condition. It has been on the market since the autumn but it was probably put on at the wrong time of year. We have had a lot of interest - all from the UK - but no offers yet.'
Anne's new luxurious sailing yacht - which features twin cabins, a large galley and lounge areas - will be moored in Argyll, Scotland, where the princess and her husband regularly spend their holidays.
