Queen Elizabeth is seeking a new chauffeur.
The monarch has advertised for a driver based at Buckingham Palace to work with the Lord Chamberlain's Office, who is responsible for arranging events and coordinating the activities of Royal Household staff who are required to attend these events.
According to the ad on the British Monarchy website the successful candidate will 'be responsible for driving members of the Royal Family, Household officials, guests and official visitors as directed by the Head Chauffeur, assisting in the maintenance of the vehicles within the garage and assisting with the daily administration and management of the Royal Mews Garage'
Those wishing to apply for the job must have 'a full UK driving licence, the ability to work effectively within a small team, good administration skills, with experience of using email, clear communication skills with an ability to deploy tact and diplomacy when necessary and be motivated and committed to maintaining high standards.'
It is also stated that 'professional driving experience would be an advantage'.
The 48-hour-week post comes with free accommodation.
