Duchess Catherine
Britain's Duchess of Cambridge watched Team GB's hockey side lose their Olympic semi-final last night (08.08.12).
Duchess Catherine was in the stands at the Riverbank Arena in the Olympic Park, east London, as Great Britain tried to reach the Olympic women's final for the first time, playing Argentina.
However, the duchess - who is a keen hockey player - didn't prove to be a lucky charm for the team as they lost 2-1, missing out on a chance to compete for the gold medal.
But Team GB can still win bronze and will meet New Zealand in a play-off for third place tomorrow (10.08.12).
Before the Olympics, Catherine - who is also known by her maiden name of Kate Middleton - made a visit to the Olympic Park in Stratford to meet the team and had a run out with them.
Afterwards, captain Kate Walsh said: 'Actually she was really good. She told me that she missed playing as part of a team. She also told me that she used to hit the penalty corners and you could see that. She got low and her shots were really sweet.'
Catherine and her husband Prince William have been seen at a number of events at London 2012 and have witnessed many golds for Team GB including in the cycling, athletics and rowing.
