Prince Harry
Britain's Prince Harry enjoyed women's beach volleyball at the Olympic Games last night (08.08.12).
The prince shared a laugh with double gold medal-winning cyclist Laura Trott, who was seated next to him, as they watched Brazil take the bronze medal in a play-off against China.
However, China's Zhang Li later admitted she would have pushed even harder to win had she known the prince was in attendance.
She said: 'If I knew that, I would have won the game.'
Both members of Brazil's team, Larissa Franca and Juliana Silva, were overjoyed to have Harry - who took his seat at Horse Guards Parade midway through the first set - see them win.
Juliana said: 'I have to give a kiss to him, he is so nice! Today he has brought luck for us!'
Larissa added: 'I didn't know he was here or I would have celebrated more! It's great that he's here and it's good to know that our sport is getting recognised.'
Although Jennifer Kessy and April Ross were upset to lose in the final to fellow Team USA competitors Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh - who took their third successive Olympic beach volleyball title - they were happy to have done so in the presence of the prince.
Jennifer said: 'We actually watched him walk by today. We were coming through security.'
April added: 'We thought the cameras were for us because they were filming us walking. And then someone was like, 'Oh, Prince Harry's right behind you'.'
Jennifer added: 'We were like, 'Oh, we're not that famous, are we?'
