Zara Phillips
Britain's Zara Phillips was well supported by seven members of the royal family at the Olympics yesterday (30.07.12).
The granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth was cheered on by her mother Princess Anne, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Harry, the Duchess of Cornwall and Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice as she had a successful day of riding in the cross-country phase of the eventing competition at London's Greenwich Park.
The British team finished the day in second place with one day of riding to go, helped in no small part by Zara after she put in a strong performance, raising her own standing in the contest from 24th to 10th.
Team GB were cheered on by a strong home crowd of around 50,000, who Zara credited for spurring her on.
The blonde royal - who married rugby player Mike Tindall last year - said: 'The crowd was unbelievable and the best thing is that it is my wedding anniversary today!'
Zara was riding her trusty steed High Kingdom at the event, and her team - completed by William Fox-Pitt, Mary King, Piggy French and Tina Cook - could be on course for a gold medal in the event depending how they fare today.
