Britain's Queen Elizabeth's cameo role in the opening ceremony of the Olympics has become a YouTube hit.
The reigning monarch played herself in a sketch with Daniel Craig - playing his character James Bond - in which they briefly meet at Buckingham Palace before parachuting out of a helicopter over the Olympic Stadium in Stratford, east London, and fans have hailed her debut role.
One fan wrote on twitter: 'The Queen with James Bond was spectacular.'
Another added: 'Hilarious! So glad to know Her Majesty has a sense of humour.'
The ceremony on Friday (27.07.12) was directed by Danny Boyle, and sales of his drug movie 'Trainspotting' reportedly soared by 5,800 per cent during the event.
John Boumphrey, Music, DVD and MP3 Director at Amazon.co.uk, said: 'Danny Boyle was the first winner of this Olympics with his best loved movies experiencing a surge in sales.
'From 90s cult classic 'Trainspotting' through to the award-winning 'Slumdog Millionaire', the increase in orders of the British director's films is a clear indication that people loved the spectacle he created for London 2012.'
Rowan Atkinson also felt the effect of taking part in the ceremony - his 'Mr Bean's Movie Box Set' saw a sales rise of 311 per cent.
