Zara Phillips
Britain's Zara Phillips will receive a medal from her mother Princess Anne if Team GB's eventing side achieve a podium finish at the London Olympics.
The team are expected to finish in the top three at the Games, which would see Anne - who previously competed in the 1976 Montreal Olympics - hand over a prize to Zara on Tuesday (31.07.12), but she faces stiff competition from Germany, who are the clear favourites to take the gold medal.
Zara said: 'The Germans are going to be the strongest but I don't think they are the only team to be afraid of.
'It's not easy to predict, it's going to be a close competition. Most of the countries have strong combinations.'
Zara is 'massively proud' to be competing in the Olympics in her home nation after previously missing out on the 2004 Games in Athens and the spectacle in Beijing in 2008 due to her horse Toytown picking up injuries on each occasion.
She is quoted by the MailOnline as saying: 'It's amazing to be here. I am massively proud of being in London. It is just incredible we've managed to put it on.
'In our sport nothing always go to plan and you have to be prepared to keep going and try again. It's a case of trying to find more horses and build them up and get to the top again.'
