Britain's Prince William and Prince Harry will support their cousin Zara Phillips at the London Olympics.

The brothers and William's wife, Duchess Catherine - who are all ambassadors for Team GB - will be joined by Princess Anne and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, to watch the 31-year-old blonde in action at the end of the month when she competes in the British eventing team.

Zara will compete in the three-day eventing on her horse High Kingdom in Greenwich Park, and the royal trio are also expected to cheer on British cyclist Mark Cavendish in the men's cycling road race on Saturday (28.07.12), which starts and finishes near Buckingham Palace on the Mall.

A royal aide told the Sunday Telegraph newspaper: 'The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry have been tremendously excited about the Olympics for a long time and want to throw themselves in to the Games and help out as much as they can.

'They will be out and about for much of the two weeks, but as well as watching the sports and meeting many of the athletes and visiting dignitaries, they hope to meet a whole cross-section of people, from volunteers to cooks in the Olympic village, who will make the Games a success.'

William, Harry and Catherine will also welcome the Olympic Torch relay to Buckingham Palace on Thursday (26.07.12) - one day ahead of the Olympic Games' opening ceremony on Friday (27.07.12) - and they will also pay a visit to British athletes and their families in the Olympic 'team houses'.

Throughout the spectacle, Harry is expected to watch beach volleyball at Horse Guards Parade in central London after playing the sport during his recent trip to Rio de Janeiro - which will stage the Olympic Games in 2016 - in Brazil.

William - who is patron of the English Schools' Swimming Association - will take in the water polo and swimming events at the Aquatics Centre and as president of the Football Association and a supporter of Premier League side Aston Villa, he is planning to watch a Team GB football match.

William and Catherine will also follow British tennis star Andy Murray's progress in the Olympics, and the brunette - who was known as Kate Middleton prior to her nuptials with the prince in April last year - is expected to cheer on the women's hockey team.
