Princess Anne
Britain's Princess Anne has urged Team GB to 'enjoy' the London Olympics.
The eldest daughter of Queen Elizabeth herself competed in the sporting event at the Montreal Games in 1976, and when meeting gymnasts and basketball players from the British squad at a training centre in Leicester, she told them to make sure they get the most out of their time in London.
Rachel Smith, 19, said: 'We did not know what to do or what to say when we met her - were we supposed to curtsey?
'She was really nice, though. She wished us good luck and told us to make sure we enjoyed it. That was her main advice.'
Fellow Team GB member Andrew Lawrence was shocked to meet Anne, and she revealed she was pleased to see how their training was coming along.
He said: 'It was unbelievable to have a member of the royal family visit us.
'She was really interest in us, and our sport. I'm glad she was able to come down and see the great facilities we have been using, too.'
