Jul 5, 2012, 12:01 GMT

Prince William
Britain's Prince William has been installed as a Knight of the Order of the Thistle today (05.07.12).
The 30-year-old royal was accompanied by his wife Duchess Catherine at the ceremony at St Giles Cathedral in Edinburgh, where he became one of just 16 knights in the order.
It can only be given by Queen Elizabeth herself, and William's father Prince Charles is one of the others to be bestowed with the order.
William and Catherine travelled to Edinburgh yesterday (04.07.12) after spending the day at the Wimbledon tennis tournament in London, where they watched Scottish star Andy Murray progress to the final.
Queen Elizabeth is currently in Scotland on the latest leg of her jubilee tour of the UK, where she has already attended events in Edinburgh and Glasgow.
On Friday (06.07.12), she will visit Perth - which was granted city status as part of the jubilee celebrations - with her husband the Duke of Edinburgh.
While in Scotland the monarch has visited the capital's newly restored Portrait Gallery and taken part in the annual Ceremony of the Keys.
