Prince Albert and Princess Charlene
Prince Albert is 'very proud' of his wife Princess Charlene.
The couple married in his native Monaco last July and after one year of marriage, Albert is still smitten with his beautiful wife and impressed with how she has adjusted to life as a royal.
He told Brazilian magazine Epoca: 'We are really happy and feel like [the marriage] happened yesterday.
'I am very proud of what my wife has accomplished this past year, creating her foundation dedicated to children and sport, and being so involved in her new role in Monaco.
'She is fulfilling a difficult mission in a perfect way, and I thank her for that.'
Although Albert was full of praise for his wife on the first anniversary of their wedding, things got off to a rocky start when the pair reportedly spent their honeymoon in separate hotels.
The couple had initially booked to stay in a £4,000-a-night suite with an ornate-leafed bed and its own swimming pool at the Oyster Box Hotel in Umhlanga Rocks, but South African native Charlene, moved to a smaller suite at the hotel.
They then cut their honeymoon short, citing 'urgent business' in Monaco.
