Duchess Camilla's visit to ice rink

Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall visited an ice-skating rink in London yesterday (28.06.12).
The royal - who is married to Britain's Prince Charles - met with 78-year-old Alice Hanrahan, who has been nominated as a Diamond Champion, an official Queen's Diamond Jubilee project which celebrates the contribution of volunteers over 60 years of age.
Alice - who dedicates her time to help ice skaters at six rinks - told the Daily Express newspaper: 'It's a fantastic honour. I became involved with skating through my daughter Sarah, but I absolutely love it.
'It is an honour to be nominated as a Diamond Champion.'
Prince Charles and Camilla are patrons of the awards scheme run by the Daily Express and age positive charity WRVS.
Verity Haines, executive director of WRVS, said: 'This is an extraordinary initiative. Alice has been a wonderful nominee. She has worked tirelessly for more than 40 years.
'The Diamond Champion is about the difference people make in our communities.'
The 80 award scheme finalists will be invited to an event to meet the royal couple in the autumn.
