Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla
Britain's Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla's royal visit to Jersey will 'renew' the island's loyalty to the Crown.
The couple will travel to Jersey on July 18, on the duchess' first official visit to the island as part of trips carried out by members of the royal family to celebrate Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee, and Jersey Bailiff Sir Michael Birt can't wait to welcome the royal visitors.
He said: 'This visit affords us the opportunity to renew our loyalty and affection to the Crown, which we have held for many hundreds of years.
'I hope as many members of the community as possible will turn out to extend a traditional warm Jersey welcome to our royal visitors.'
During their visit a commemorative granite feature and a specially commissioned art work of the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant will be unveiled in the royal square.
Prince Charles last visited the island in 2005, a year before his marriage to the duchess.
The couple will also take in the island of Guernsey on July 19 and 20.
