Prince William's wet and wild 30th birthday

Prince William
Britain's Prince William celebrated his 30th birthday by being dragged through the sea on a high-speed 'doughnut'.
The royal was pulled along on a rubber ring behind a boat in the sea near his and wife Duchess Catherine's rented cottage in Anglesey, North Wales, in bitter wind and rain as the brunette, Prince Harry and 12 of the William's closest friends watched on.
Catherine - who was previously known as Kate Middleton prior to the couple's nuptials - booked the high-speed ride weeks ago for William, who inherited £10 million from his late mother Princess Diana's estate on his birthday last Thursday (21.06.12), expecting the weather to be sunny.
A source told The Sun newspaper: 'For most 30 year olds who have just inherited £10 million, the last thing they would want to do is freeze themselves on a wet weekend in Wales. But this is typical of William.'
The Duchess of Cambridge invited some of William's lifelong pals along for the occasion - including Thomas van Straubenzee, Harry Aubrey-Fletcher and David Jardine Paterson - and the group later retired to the couple's cottage for home-cooked dinner and drinks.
William's eventful boat ride comes after he was treated to breakfast in bed by Catherine on the morning of his birthday and she also gave him with a specially designed watch by Crown Jewellers Collins & Sons for his landmark day.
