Prince William and Prince Harry playing polo
Prince William and Duchess Catherine both showed their parental instincts during a day at the polo yesterday (17.06.12).
While the duchess cradled her niece Savannah Phillips on the royal day out, William was doting over their puppy, Lupo.
Savannah is the daughter of Princess Anne's son Peter Phillips and his wife Autumn Kelly, and the duchess seemed delighted to spent time with the youngster.
Kate was at the Gloucestershire Festival of Polo, at the Beaufort Polo Club to support her husband and his brother, Prince Harry, who were both competing in a charity match, which the younger royal won.
The_Polo_Scene tweeted: 'Great match! Won by Zedan Polo (with Prince Harry playing at number 2) but it was very close.'
After he had dismounted, William showered the beloved six month old cocker spaniel pup with kisses.
Catherine then gave Savannah a lesson in dog training, showing her how to hold his lead and hold him still.
The charity polo match which the princes played was to raise money for Well Child, Child Bereavement and Tusk - causes which are backed by the princes. Other royals at the polo day included Zara Philips and her husband Mike Tindall.
