Prince Harry
Britain's Prince Harry will feature in a new documentary about the attempts of a team of wounded war heroes to climb Mount Everest.
ITV1's 'Harry's Mountain Heroes' follows a five-strong team of servicemen who ultimately had to call off their climb because of record temperatures at the summit.
The documentary also covers Prince Harry's role as Patron of Walking With The Wounded, the charity behind the expedition
Although he couldn't make the journey with them due to work commitments with the army, Harry joined the team in the days prior to their departure for Nepal, as well as following their fortunes during their ten week attempt.
Diana Howie, Factual Commissioning Editor at ITV said: 'The innate drama and emotion of this journey, along with the very personal involvement of Prince Harry, creates a moving and very real story of triumph over adversity, offering compelling viewing for our audience on ITV1'.
Edward Parker, founder of Walking with the Wounded, said: 'Raising awareness of our wounded is an integral part of the charity's mission. We'd like to thank ITV for its support this year and [production company] Twofour for its dedication and continued excellence in telling our story.'
