Prince Harry reportedly wants a date with Katy Perry.

The British royal and his brother Prince William are helping Gary Barlow to choose acts for a special concert to celebrate their grandmother Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee and Harry is said to have requested that Katy performs so he can finally meet her.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper: 'Harry has a double reason for targeting Katy. First he thinks she is a rocking artist with great songs. But secondly she is single and very sexy.

'He sees this as an opportunity to get close to Katy. And he is confident his charm will win her over.

'And although Katy may have ended it with Russell, she still has a soft spot for wild boys.'

Gary previously revealed the princes were sending him to America in order to meet some of their preferred acts face to face to make them feel 'more engaged' in the spectacle.

He explained: I've got to go to America because some of the requests I have are from the princes, so they're acts I've got to follow up on.

'I try to meet all the artists because then they feel more engaged, they're more in tune with what's going on.

'I know as an artist myself, often you turn up at these events and you don't really know what they're for, or what it's about.

'It's so vital that everybody knows how important this event is for Britain. So I'll try to meet everybody.'
