Britain's Duchess Catherine loves chocolate.

The 30-year-old royal - who is the wife of Prince William - toured London store Fortnum and Mason with her husband's stepmother Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, and grandmother Queen Elizabeth yesterday (01.03.12) and revealed her sweet tooth to staff.

Asked if she likes chocolate, she replied: ''I love chocolate yes, I think most girls like chocolate.'

Camilla also loves chocolate - but was disappointed not to be able to try her favourite violet creams as staff had been advised only to have out non-chocolate items in case they melted.

She said: 'I absolutely love these. I grew up on them. I have eaten these since I was a child. Is there are special recipe? Or is it a secret?

'What I really would like to try is one of those [violet creams] but we aren't allowed to. Maybe I could pop back later and get you to make me up a box. They really are very addictive.'

Catherine also discussed her quest to make the perfect cup of tea with staff as she admired the different varieties stocked by the store.

She asked: 'So how do you go about choosing which tea to sell when there are so many out there? I would really like to learn to make the perfect cup of tea as when I last made a pot of tea with dried tea leaves I got it very wrong.

'I like a cup of tea but it is my brother who really likes his tea as well. I will definitely tell my brother to come down here. He really does love his tea. This is so interesting.'
