Duchess of Cornwall
A woman whose flat was burnt down in the London riots last year has thanked Britain's Duchess of Cornwall for helping revive her career.
Vina Andersson received £400 worth of vouchers directly from the wife of Prince Charles to help her pay for college materials after she lost her belongings and she admits it gave her a confidence boost after the tragic event.
She said: 'She gave me a morale boost. She's lovely and down to earth.
'Not even my friends know what she has done for me. It's a shame I can't put the letter on Facebook. I feel like in order for me not to feel bad, I have to think something amazing is going to happen out of this.'
Vina had to drop out of her studies after being made homeless after the riots, but was inspired by Camilla's kindness and is now a student at London Metropolitan University.
The duchess and Prince Charles made an unannounced visit to Tottenham yesterday (09.02.12) to see how much the area was progressing following the troubles last year.
