Prince William will not be king before his father

Prince William
Britain's Prince William will not become king before his father.
Prince Charles has no intention of stepping aside and allowing his son to take to the throne as the next British monarch, according to former British Prime Minister Sir John Major.
John told The Andrew Marr Show: 'The queen took an oath at her coronation, that she would remain as queen for the rest of her life. When, hopefully in many years hence the queen is no longer with us Prince Charles will become king. There can be no question of skipping a generation, it simply is not going to happen. After the queen will come Prince Charles, after Prince Charles will come Prince William, that is a matter which is settled and is beyond doubt.'
However, John praised the 29-year-old royal, who is currently training as a search and rescue helicopter pilot, and thinks since he married the Duchess of Cambridge, Catherine Middleton, last year they have done a great job of promoting the British monarchy around the world.
He added: 'The Duke of Cambridge and the Duchess are becoming iconic around the world, they are a tremendous bonus to the royal family and I think the way they have conducted themselves is absolutely without fault.'
