Queen Elizabeth's Cameron assistance
Britain's Queen Elizabeth has helped current Prime Minister David Cameron when he has tough questions about his job.
Britain's Queen Elizabeth helps Prime Minister David Cameron 'reach the answers' he is looking for.
The monarch - who has reigned over the UK for 60 years - has regular meetings with her prime ministers, and Mr. Cameron reveals she is very astute and regularly asks questions he had not thought about.
He said: 'She's seen and heard it all, but I think she wants to be in a position where she knows everything that's going on. She asks you well informed and brilliant questions that make you think about the things you are doing.
'I think you reveal both to her, but also to yourself, your deepest thinking and deepest worries. And sometimes that can really help you reach the answers.'
Her 10th prime minister Tony Blair also believes she has a 'shrewd' sense of the political issues of any given day.
He added in documentary 'The Diamond Queen': 'She keeps her ear to the ground. She has a very clear and shrew sense of where people would be on a political crisis.
'She was prepared within the context of the audience to be very frank and open and informative.'
'The Diamond Queen' will be aired on BBC1 next Monday (06.02.12).
