Wrong man - royal wedding souvenir mug shows Harry as groom
Mar 17, 2011, 8:18 GMT
London - A Chinese-produced souvenir mug produced for the wedding of Britain's Prince William and Kate Middleton is set to become a very limited edition - as it mistakenly displays the prince's younger brother as the groom, it was reported Thursday.
'Guandong Enterprises has the greatest pleasure to present to you this beautiful cup,' says the firm's website, 'to commemorate the wedding of HRH (His Royal Highness) Prince William and his stunning bride to be.'
The public is urged to purchase the piece instantly to avoid disappointment. Once the mistake is spotted, the piece is likely to be withdrawn, press reports said Thursday, making it a 'truly limited edition'.
Prince Harry, 26, the groom's younger brother, who has described Middleton as his 'sister' - is likely to be amused.
Cut-price wedding memorabilia produced in China have flooded the market, competing with the more expensive items commissioned by the royal household and sold in Britain through what is known as the Royal Collection, ahead of the April 29 wedding.
