Prince Edwards unveils headquarters
May 6, 2010, 12:02 GMT
Britain's Prince Edward opened the new headquarters for Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance yesterday (05.05.10).
The Duke of Kent - who is 24th in line to the throne - met patients, crew members and volunteers at the new Princethorpe building and spent time learning about the work the charity does.
Andy Williamson, chief executive of the trust, told the Coventry Telegraph newspaper: "We were delighted and proud that His Royal Highness wanted to join us to celebrate the next chapter of Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA) and learn more about the charity.
"Our move to Hazell House is a really positive step forward in the future of the charity. We are driving this vital charity forward, in response to the increasing challenges we face and ultimately the desire to provide a better service for the regions we serve."
The new headquarters has been named after Malcolm Hazell, founder and chairman of the charity.
