Duchess of Cornwall attends opera
Apr 28, 2010, 12:56 GMT
Britain's Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall visited the opera with Prince Charles last night (27.04.10).
The duchess - who broke her left leg earlier this month after falling awkwardly in a rabbit hole - arrived for the first night of 'Aida' at the Royal Opera House in London with Charles pushing her wheelchair.
Camilla, 62, recently strained a tendon in her right shoulder from over-using her crutches and has been confined to a wheelchair to keep the weight off her fibula bone until it heals.
Despite sporting a plaster cast on her lower leg, Camilla still looked glamorous in her sparkling royal blue coat and pleated chiffon skirt by designer Anna Valentine.
Proceeds from the performance will benefit the Royal Opera House Foundation, the charity which supports the venue's work.
It was the first time the show, which stars Italian soprano Micaela Carosi in the title role, has been performed there since 2003.
