Prince Edward visits gown exhibition
Apr 16, 2010, 12:02 GMT
Britain's Prince Edward attended a new London exhibition last night (15.04.10).
Edward - accompanied by wife Sophie, the Countess of Wessex - was at London's Victoria and Albert museum for a new show dedicated to the gowns worn by famed actress and style icon Grace Kelly.
Also in attendance was Monaco's Prince Albert II - the son of Grace and her husband, Prince Ranier - who was accompanied by his girlfriend, South African swimmer Charlene Wittstock.
The exhibition is split into three sections - Actress, Bride, and Princess - and features some of Grace's most iconic gowns worn during each period of her life, including creations by Dior, Balenciaga, Givenchy and Yves St Laurent.
Other guests at the exhibition included actress Elizabeth Taylor, former Beatles drummer Ringo Starr, Harrods boss Mohammed Al-Fayed and designer Paul Smith.
Grace gave up acting in 1955 after she met Ranier - with who she also had daughter Princesses Caroline and Stephanie - and died in a car accident in September 1982 aged 52.
