Princess Beatrice's toilet woes
Mar 15, 2010, 13:04 GMT
Britain's Princess Beatrice is worried about toilet breaks on the London Marathon.
The 21-year-old royal - who is planning to run the grueling 26-mile race whilst tied to 31 friends in an attempt to break a world record of 30 - admitted she has concerns about not being able to relieve herself.
She told The Sun newspaper: "We're not allowed to split off at any point, so that rules out rest stops. The boys all went yesterday during training. I was the only girl - I had to run off in the other direction! But there won't be any of that on the day."
The princess - who is the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson - was spotted training for the sporting event on Saturday (13.03.10) with friends including her boyfriend Dave Clark, 27, and Sir Richard Branson's daughter Holly, 28.
Holly said: "We want to do it between five and six hours. You've got to hope that you don't need the loo."
The group are hoping to raise £100,000 for various children's charities, including Children In Crisis, which improves the lives of children hit by war and poverty.
Beatrice added: "What's exciting about doing this together is that your morale can stay up. By myself I'd get to mile 15 and think, 'Oh, for crying out loud, what am I doing?' "
